Webisodes Ready to Take Off This Summer

It’s not supposed to be this hard, is it? Leave India, come to the United States, take over Hollywood. Sounds like a feasible plan. After all, India has Bollywood…and Tollywood, Kollywood, Mollywood… Collectively, the Indian film industry can keep up with those cronies out west, right? Piece o’ cake! We got this!
Or such was the thought process of an ever so naïve yet ambitious upper class boy from his neighborhood. Of course, he has his equally naïve yet ambitious neighbor to thank for getting into this predicament in the first place.
A pair of neighbors in Mumbai, Sunil and Amitabh have their eyes set on international fame, and their star-filled heads landed them smack-dab in the middle of Hollywood. Visions of glamorous lifestyles fostered by fast-blinking flashing lights, faster-flashing women in high heels and skirts all under the starch-white letters spelling “Hollywood†high atop the northern hills of Los Angeles, Sunil and Amitabh decide to make a movie. They are going from Bollywood to Hollywood.
The collection of webisodes picked up by Indian entertainment and web content distributor DesiYou!, Bollywood to Hollywood was the brainchild of two brothers who joined forces with an eclectic woman in Hollywood to show the world the best of what the planet’s two largest film industries have to offer.
In a way, Bollywood to Hollywood is almost a true story of Suniil Sadarangani who, in fact, recently touched down in Los Angeles from India to make his filmmaking dreams come true. His story is told thanks to the solid writing of Anil Sadarangani along with Hollywood veteran Saba Moor-Doucette, her husband Jeff. With a distribution deal already in place, the webisode series will highlight the trials and tribulations of two young men infatuated with making it in the entertainment business.
As Moor-Doucette described the series, it is ultimately a story of two clueless men who want to fulfill their dreams of being Hollywood producers.
With 23 webisodes already in the can, and another six or seven in the process of being produced, Bollywood to Hollywood may just be the latest legitimate attempt to connect two gigantic movie industries destined to join forces.
The series, which is already gaining momentum through viral marketing techniques, will make a bigger marketing splash when DesiYou! begins to promote the webisodes after its upcoming industry event on August 1st. After that, follow Bollywood Buzzine for updates on the webisodes.
DesiYou! will play a role in distributing the webisodes across the Internet.
