FROM ‘BOLLYWOOD TO HOLLYWOOD' |
Webisodes Ready to Take Off This Summer
Parimal M. Rohit Editor-in-Chief H'wood Correspondent

It’s not supposed to be this hard, is it? Leave India, come to the United States, take over Hollywood. Sounds like a feasible plan. After all, India has Bollywood…and Tollywood, Kollywood, Mollywood… Collectively, the Indian film industry can keep up with those cronies out west, right? Piece o’ cake! We got this!
Or such was the thought process of an ever so naïve yet ambitious upper class boy from his neighborhood. Of course, he has his equally naïve yet ambitious neighbor to thank for getting into this predicament in the first place.
A pair of neighbors in Mumbai, Sunil and Amitabh have their eyes set on international fame, and their star-filled heads landed them smack-dab in the middle of Hollywood. Visions of glamorous lifestyles fostered by fast-blinking flashing lights, faster-flashing women in high heels and skirts all under the starch-white letters spelling “Hollywood” high atop the northern hills of Los Angeles, Sunil and Amitabh decide to make a movie. They are going from Bollywood to Hollywood.
The collection of webisodes picked up by Indian entertainment and web content distributor DesiYou!, Bollywood to Hollywood was the brainchild of two brothers who joined forces with an eclectic woman in Hollywood to show the world the best of what the planet’s two largest film industries have to offer.
